Star Automotive was founded by Master Certified Technician Brian Wampler after studying Automotive Technologies in college and working for over 20 years in the auto repair field. He advanced his career steadily during those years, working his way to Team Leader at a luxury car dealership and Shop Foreman at a Mercedes-Benz dealership. Along the way, he gained a deep appreciation of Mercedes-Benz quality and learned all he could about servicing and repairing these remarkable vehicles.

Frustrated by the dealerships' spotty reputation for reliability and customer satisfaction, Brian decided to open his own independent Mercedes-Benz service facility. He purchased from Mercedes-Benz the same computerized equipment, specialized factory tools and service manuals used in the dealerships. And in 2006, Brian and his wife, Jami, opened Star Automotive.
